LAHORE – The interest in the upcoming Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2024 is soaring, with more than 500 players including Nasim Shah expressed their intent to register for the tournament.
Representing 24 countries, these players have been eagerly vying for selection in the squads of the five franchises participating in the league.
Among the prominent players who have shown interest are Tameem Iqbal, Tom Sauti, Rossi Van Der Dussen, Jamie Neesham, and many others.
Star players such as Usman Khawaja, Tabraiz Shamsi, Avon Lewis and more are also in demand.
The LPL 2024 is scheduled to be played across Colombo, Dambulla, and Kandy, with matches set to commence from July 1, culminating in the final match on July 21.
Similar to previous seasons, the tournament will feature five teams, with a total of 24 matches to be played.
Teams will engage in a double-round robin league stage, followed by qualifiers, an eliminator, and then the grand finale, mirroring the format popularized by the IPL.
As in the past seasons, four out of the five teams will qualify for the playoffs, ensuring an intense battle for supremacy in the LPL 2024.
