The annual intermediate exams under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Education have commenced, with an impressive 441,732 students participating across the province. Nasrullah Khan, chairman of the All Boards Coordination Committee, provided details about the extensive arrangements made to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.
He said a total of 2,012 examination centres have been established to accommodate the large number of students. Additionally, a dedicated examination staff of 141,000 individuals has been deployed to manage and oversee the exams, ensuring that all procedures are followed meticulously.
To maintain the integrity of the examination process, CCTV cameras have been installed in examination halls across the province. These measures are aimed at monitoring the conduct of the exams and ensuring transparency. Nasrullah Khan emphasized that strict measures have been implemented to prevent any instances of copying or cheating during the exams.
On Wednesday, the intermediate exams in Sindh were rescheduled for June 1, as the board officials said it would not be possible to conduct the examinations from May 28.
The decision came after the intermediate board sought permission to delay exams by four days, citing the unfeasibility of conducting exams from May 28.
The minister concerned gave the required go-ahead. The board met with the minister of education boards seeking approval for the postponement.—INP
