The veteran Japanese midfielder found the net for Botafogo against Bangú in the Campeonato Carioca, making a bit of history for himself. Veteran Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda has made footballing history after becoming the first player to score on five continents. The former Milan and CSKA Moscow scored on his debut for Botafogo against Bangú in the Campeonato Carioca to add South America to his haul of Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania.
Honda, 33, earned 98 caps for Japan, scoring 38 times and representing the Samurai Blue at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 World Cups, as well as winning the 2011 Asian Cup, where he was named played of the tournament.
