On Friday, the local court in port city granted bail to Natasha and her husband on murder charges after counsel to the victims’ family said they pardoned them and removed their objections.

The wife of Karachi industrialist was behind bars facing several charges along with her husband, but the victims’ family drops charges.

The accident occurred on August 19 when Natasha rammed multiple bikes and another vehicle before overturning on Karsaz Road. The crash resulted in the deaths of 60-year-old Imran Arif and his 22-year-old daughter Amna, while three others sustained injuries. Natasha was subsequently arrested.

In recent developments, Sindh police officials told media that Natasha was driving under the influence of crystal meth and a separate case was filed under against her for driving under influence of substance use.

Although Natasha was granted bail for the accident, she remains in custody pending the conclusion of the narcotics case. Defense counsel said court directed Natasha and her husband to pay Rs100,000 and Rs50,000 for bail. The narcotics case hearing is scheduled for Monday.

Victim’s lawyer denied reports about companesation/blood money, clarifying that the family pardoned Natasha in the name of Allah, as reflected in an affidavit. He clarified that the family’s forgiveness was an act of faith, dismissing any suggestions of a monetary settlement.

Meanwhile, the court had not imposed travel restrictions on Natasha, allowing her to leave the country if she chose. He concluded by affirming that the case was resolved following the family’s pardon.

Who is Natasha Danish

Natasha, the wife of prominent Karachi businessman Danish Iqbal, is facing legal charges after a car accident that killed two people and injured others.

She was accused of driving under the influence and attempting to flee the scene, but was stopped by bystanders and handed over to the police. A case was filed against her, and she was placed on a one-day physical remand.

The incident has sparked criticism on social media, with many alleging she is receiving special treatment due to her status.
