KARACHI – Karachi, the city of 20 million, is experiencing increase in temperatures, with Met Office predicting persistent hot weather this week.
In its advisory, Met Office announced surge in temperatures for port city as continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.
On Tuesday, the city saw partly cloudy skies with temperatures hovering around 32-34 degrees Celsius. However, clear and sunny conditions are predicted to take over from tomorrow, accompanied by a noticeable rise in temperature.

On Wednesday, and Thursday, the mercury in the metropolis is expected to hit 26 degrees Celsius. Despite increase in temperatures, sea breezes are expected to provide some relief.
In addition to the heatwave in Karachi, the rest of Sindh is expected to remain hot and dry. However, localized rain showers are possible in the Jamshoro district today.
