KARACHI – Intense heatwaves will continue to prevail in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh on Wednesday and the next two days.
Gusty winds are expected in Karachi and coastal areas of Sindh during the period.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. High pressure at the upper atmospheric level prevails over the central and southern parts of the country and will likely persist during the next four days.
Under these conditions, very hot and dry weather is expected in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh on Wednesday and the next two days with 04°C to 06°C above normal temperatures. Gusty winds are expected in coastal areas during the afternoon.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 35°C and 37°C on Wednesday and between 36°C and 38°C on Thursday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 41°C and 43°C on Wednesday and between 42°C and 44°C on Thursday.
Meanwhile, very hot and dry weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Dadu and Jacobabad remained the hottest places in Sindh, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 47°C. The maximum temperature in Rohri, Khairpur, Nawabshah and Larkana was recorded at 46°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 59 per cent.
In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 33 per cent.
