Karachi prepares for Champions Trophy with enhanced security

Karachi administration has unveiled a series of special measures to make the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 a resounding success. These initiatives include enhanced security arrangements and the provision of special facilities for citizens, aimed at meeting public expectations during the event.

A meeting chaired by Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi, held on Friday, reviewed preparations for the event. It was agreed that foolproof security would be in place, and the stadium’s surrounding areas and access routes would be adorned for the occasion.

Special parking arrangements and shuttle services from parking areas to the stadium are also part of the plan. The meeting was attended by officials from the police, Rangers, and other institutions, including the Director-General of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Additional Commissioner Karachi Ghulam Mehdi Shah, and representatives from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), led by General Manager National Stadium Arshad Khan. He shared details of the Champions Trophy’s schedule, which has been finalized by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
