Principal Government Jinnah Islamia College Sialkot Prof. Dr. Mujahid Bukhari has said that journalists are the eyes and ears of any civilized society, journalism in the development and prosperity of Pakistan Has played the role of the fourth pillar and despite the unfavorable conditions, the journalistic community of Pakistan has maintained knowledge for the stability of democracy and the rights of the people in the country.
He expressed these views while addressing the condolence reference of Ashraf Kamal, Editor-in-Chief of Halat-e-Zamana, a late Sialkot-based journalist, at Fatima Jinnah Auditorium. Principal Government College Zafarwal Prof. Shahid Tanveer, President Prof. Association Prof. Rana Tariq Shaukat, Prof. Waqas Mahmood, Junaid Aftab, SM Shahid, Muhammad Yahya, Mian Naeem Iqbal, Imtiaz Ahmed and Qasim Abid also attended the condolence reference.
He futher said that late Ashraf Kamal never violted the sanctity of the pen and never compromised his conscience. He said Journalists not only point out social issues but also make people aware of their national, national, moral and religious responsibilities. Fateha was also offered for the elevation of the late at the end of the ceremony.
