ISLAMABAD – Jamadi us Sani, the sixth Islamic month, will start on December 4, 2024 (Wednesday) as no moon was sighted today, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad announced on Wednesday.
The chief of the country’s top moon sighting body said the crescent for Islamic month of Jamadi us Sani 1446. was not sighted anywhere in the country on Monday.
The announcement was made after meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s zonal body as members gathered at respected sites. The key meeting was led by Abdul Khabeer Azad, Chairman of the committee.
Despite generally clear weather conditions across the country, some areas faced overcast skies, hindering moon observation. Now, the committee unanimously decided that the first day of Jamadi us Sani will be observed on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
