Pakistan Army’s media wing has rejected reports regarding the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir’s visit to the United States, saying the reports in this regard were “baseless”.
In a tweet, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said there have been baseless speculations on social media that Chief of Army Staff is visiting Washington. It is categorically stated that Gen Asim is on an official visit to the United Kingdom from 5th to 10th February in connection with 5th Pakistan-UK Stabilisation Conference.
ISPR added Pakistan-UK Stabilisation Conference is a bi-annual event for military to military cooperation between the Islamabad, and London.
Senior Pakistan military leadership has been participating in the event since 2016, it added.

The army spokesperson cleared the air as General Asim arrived in the UK on a five-day visit, however some accounts doing propaganda on his recent visit.
In the UK, Gen Asim will attend the Wilton Park conference and interact with the defence officials.
