Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Pakistan weather update for two days

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly cold and dry weather for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan on Thursday evening/night, Friday and Saturday.

As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the twin cities and most parts of Pakistan on Thursday evening/night and the next two days. Partly cloudy and freezing weather is likely in upper parts during the period.

Islamabad’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 07-09 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday.

Rawalpindi’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 09-11 C on Friday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, rain-thunderstorms with snow over the mountains occurred in Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan during the last 24 hours.

Kalam remained the coldest place in the country where the temperature dropped 07 C below freezing.

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 07 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 94 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 09 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 74 per cent.
