ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly cold and dry weather for the twin cities and most parts of Pakistan during the next few days.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan on Sunday evening/night and the next two days.
Partly cloudy weather is likely in the upper parts during the period.
Smog/fog is likely to prevail in upper Sindh and plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during morning and night hours.
Smog/fog is likely to disturb vehicular movement on inter and intra city roads including Motorway and National Highway during morning and night hours.
In Islamabad, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 01-03 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday.
Rawalpindi’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 03-05 C on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed across Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
Leh remained the coldest place in Pakistan where mercury dropped 11 C below the freezing point.
In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 03 C.
Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 92 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 05 C.
Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 80 per cent.
