ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan on Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in the twin cities and parts of the country on Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday. Freezing weather is expected in upper parts of the country. Shallow fog will likely prevail at isolated places in northeast Punjab during morning, night hours.
In Islamabad, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 00-02 degrees Celsius on Friday and 01-03 C on Saturday.
In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 03-05 C on Friday and 02-04 C on Saturday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. Shallow fog prevailed at isolated places of northeast Punjab.
Leh remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 16 C below freezing.
In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 02 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 70 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 04 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 77 per cent.
