ABU DHABI – The United Arab Emirates has issued an update on its visa exemption policy, revealing that citizens from 87 countries are eligible for the visa on arrival services as they do not need to get a pre-entry visa.
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the decision has been taken to simplify the process for tourists and promote tourism in the country.
The updated list shows citizens from 110 countries are required to get the visa of the UAE before travelling to the Gulf country. Pakistani citizens are required to get the pre-entry visa to visit the Gulf state as the South Asian country is not exempted from the visa.
The government further said that citizens from GCC countries are not required to obtain a visa to visit the country. It added that the nationals of GCC are just required to show their passport or ID card upon arrival.
