LAHORE – The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has released an advertisement for vacant posts in Special Branch of the Punjab Police.

It has sought applications for the post of Intelligence Officer (BS-14) from men, women and transgender person from across the Punjab.

Number of Vacancies for Intelligence Officer Post

The department has announced that it will recruit 43 officers on contract basis for the period of two years. Out of total, 15 posts will be allocated to women candidates, three to special persons and two to minorities.

Educational Requirements

Graduation (second division) from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission; and ii) Basic Knowledge of computer

OR

  1. i) Graduate (second division) from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission; and ii) five years’ experience in Intelligence Wing of Law Enforcing Agencies

Age Limit

Male: 21 to 35+05 = 40 years

Female: 21 to 35+08 = 43 years Age and sex of the transgender will be based on the contents of their CNIC.

Syllabus for Written Test for Intelligence Officer Post

One paper MCQ type written test of 100 marks and 90 minutes duration will be conducted. Syllabus is as under:

80% test will consist of questions related to General Ability including General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies (General Knowledge for Non-Muslim candidates), Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science.

Questions related to Basic Computer Studies will make the other 20% of the paper.
