In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have launched cordon and search operations (CASOs) in Baramulla and Poonch districts.
A joint team of Indian Army’s 22RR, Special Operation Group of Indian police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force cordoned off Raj Mohalla of Warpora and conducted house to house searches in Warpora village of Sopore in Baramulla district, today. The reports added that all entry and exit points were sealed by the Indian forces’ personnel before the start of house-to-house searches in the area.
Searches were going on in the area when last reports came in. Meanwhile, the troops also launched cordon and search operations in several villages of Mendhar, Poonch district. The Indian Army claimed that the operations were conducted following the movement of a suspected “surveillance drone” over villages in Mendhar.
On the other hand, Indian troops arrested two persons including a prominent Hurriyet activist Naseer Ahmad Rather during a search operation in Chatpura village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The operation was launched late last evening.—KMS
