The Convener of AJK chapter of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Muhammad Safi has said that India has always ignored justice, ground realities and historical evidence and has tried to suppress Kashmir’s freedom movement with imperialist mentality and oppression.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi in a media interview said for the last 75 years, India has tried to continue its illegal occupation over the disputed Jammu and Kashmir through its military might.
He said from Muhammad Maqbool Butt to Burhan Wani, India has tried to execute Kashmir’s most popular pro-freedom leaders to intimidate and silence them but every tactic of India failed. He added that the Indian tactic of terrorizing the Hurriyat leaders by imprisoning them in notorious jails, confiscating their properties and demolishing their residential houses also failed.—INP
