Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said that the construction of motorways and expressways will change the fate of Swat as it would lead to the resumption of tourism in the valley. This will bring prosperity as tourism generates revenue and brings foreign investment.
Addressing a mammoth gathering at Grassy ground, Swat, after inaugurating the Sehat Card Plus programme for the entire population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Prime Minister observed that tourism had lot of potential in Pakistan and this is the only field that can bring prosperity to the country in a shortest period of time. He said, “We have explored many new vistas for tourism in the country in general and in KP in particular and those areas would be developed soon.
Imran Khan declared the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf government was determined to make Pakistan a prosperous welfare state and ensuring the supremacy of law here.
At the same time PM Khan reiterated that corrupt politicians and those who plundered the national wealth would not be spared come what may. “Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari and other corrupt politicians who once used to be arch-rivals, have teamed against the PTI government only to hide their corruption and looting the country mercilessly,” said Imran Khan.
Imran came hard on former Prime Minister and PML-N Supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif for targeting Pakistan armed forces and Inter-Services Intelligence. He said Nawaz fled from the country after looting the national wealth and now instigating masses against the state institutions.
“Nawaz Sharif is a worshipper of money and a big actor; He tried his level best to get NRO, but the government is in no mood to providing them any relief as giving NRO to those dacoits will be tantamount to treason”. Imran said adding the Sharif’s after realizing that they are not going to get the NRO have started dirty politics and MNS sitting abroad is striving to malign the vital institutions specially the Pakistan Army.
“In order to save his looted money this man (Nawaz) is instigating Army to rebel against the COAS and ISI chief at a time when extremist Indian Prime Minister Moodi is conspiring to disintegrate our motherland, it’s a highly shameful act,” Imran lamented.
The premier appreciated KP CM Mahmood Khan for deciding issuance of health insurance cards to the citizens that will enable them to get medical facilities up to one million rupees.
He announced that the federal government will also facilitate the nationals to get their own houses on easy installments under the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme. He added that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf will make every impossible thing possible in Pakistan.
Imran said that a new CRPC has been approved for speedy trials besides bringing improvements in the current justice system adding that the cases related to lands in KP and Punjab will be wrapped up within one year under the new law. “We are going to make Pakistan a welfare state besides ensuring the supremacy of law here.”
The premier said that the government was going to introduce an academic system in the country which will enable children of a common man to grow. “We are Introducing Uniform education system in country, first time in Pakistan’s history, providing equal opportunity to the poor lot to excel and rise to the top positions”. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan termed the social health protection scheme (Sehat Sahulat Program) as a flagship and pro-poor scheme of the provincial government and said that, this project is another important step towards Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of a welfare state. He said that this project would prove to be a milestone in ensuring the provision of free and quality health care facilities to the entire population of the province adding that the said project is a complete package of social protection which, besides ensuring free treatment facilities to the masses, would help reduce poverty and improve living standard of common man.
The chief minister said that this program would be expanded to whole province by the end of January next year in four different phases. ‘’ In first phase, Sehat Sahulat Program has been extended to Swat, Upper Chitral, Lower Chitral, Malakand, Upper Dir, Lower Dir. While in second phase, it will be extended to Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Tor Ghar and Buner districts by the next month. Similarly, the project will cover the rest of districts by the January next year.’’ he added.
Chief Minister further stated that through the extension of program to the whole population of the province, more than six million households would get free healthcare facilities and each household would have the facility to get free treatment up to Rs, 1.0 million annually. “Each and every individual of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa holding national identity card could get free medical treatment in the selected public and private hospitals,” he remarked.
