ISLAMABAD – The process of filing cases against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership continued as a new case has been registered at the Sangjani Police Station against PTI’s founding chairman Imran Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Azam Swati.

In addition to the named leadership, 2,000 to 2,500 unidentified PTI workers have also been included in the case, which contained 12 charges including terrorism.

According to the text of the case, PTI’s founding chairman allegedly misused facilities provided in jail. At his instigation, Ali Amin Gandapur, as Chief Minister, allegedly misused government resources while Azam Swati financed the protesters.

The case further stated that the protesters seized two 12-bore guns, 12 anti-riot kits, two wireless sets and five tear gas shells. They also fired at the police with intent to kill, forcing police officers to hide behind trees to save their lives.

The new case against the PTI leadership and workers includes charges such as interference in government affairs, kidnapping, robbery, terrorism, attempted murder and snatching the government weapons.
