Imam Hussain’s (AS) life, philosophy should be incorporated in syllabus: Faisal Zahid Malik

The teachings, philosophy and life of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) provide solutions to the challenges Pakistan is facing today, like terrorism, depression, negative thinking and particularly youth’s disappointment and disillusion with religion and Ideology of Pakistan. Speakers expressed these views while addressing ‘Hussainia Seminar’ organized by the Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) at the Aiwan-e-Quaid in connection with the start of the Muharram-ul-Har- am and Martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain his family members and followers Chairman Markazi Imam Hussain Council and eminent scholar DrGhazanfar Mehdi presided over the seminar.

Among those who addressed the event included noted speakers like Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, Faisal Zahid Malik, Musa RazaAfandi, Dr Umar RiazAbbasi, DrHussain Ahmed, Sibtain RazaLodhi and DrSadia Kamal. DrGhazanfar Mehdi said at the barren plains of Karbala, Iraq, Hazrat Imam Hussain infused a new spirit in Islam by laying down his life and of those close to him.

This is something that will continue to inspire the Muslims and the oppressed communities and teach them to stand against all odds, he said. Faisal Zahid Malik while paying glowing tributes to Hazrat Imam Hussain and his Family and followers who accepted martyrdom for the sake of Islam and truth said the government should include the Incident of Karbala in the syllabus and teach students about the great sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain and his followers. By acting upon Harat Imam Hussain’s philosophy of life, we can resolve the Kashmir as well as the Palestine disputes, he said. Noted scholar Musa Raza Afandi said Imam Hussain showed how the oppressed could stand and face the oppressors, how the victims can fight back the tormentor. This goes to the credit of Hazrat Imam Hussain that today all over the world we are seeing the poor and downtrodden raising their voice for their rights. DrHussain Ahmed Hamdani said all the great Sufis and saints of Islam preached Islam and motivated the people to embrace Islam by using the example of Karbala. Chairman of the Lions Club, Sibtain RazaLodhi said rights organizations throughout the world were inspired by Hazrat Imam.

Hussain’s sacrifice and. getting inspiration from that. DrSadia Kamal said in the Incident of Karbala the role of women, particularly ZainabBibi, served. as a glowing light for the women across the world. BibiHania and other women of the Family of Hazrat Imam. Hussain also showed immaculate courage and steadfastness in the face of the hardships, said DrSadia Kamal. At the end, HameedQaisar, Media Coordinator of the NPC conducted. the proceedings of the seminar.
