MUMBAI – Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has finally addressed persistent rumors about his separation from his wife, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
“See, I am still married,” Abhishek displayed his wedding ring while rejecting the rumours ina recent interview to Bollywood UK media.
The actor responded, “I don’t have much to say on this matter. Often, news gets embellished. I understand why this happens.” He added, “You need stories for your websites or newspapers. It’s part of being a celebrity, and we have to deal with it.”
The rumors about the couple’s separation have been circulating for the past year, gaining traction recently following Anant Ambani’s wedding, the younger son of the Ambani family. Reports also surfaced about Aishwarya leaving the Bachchan residence and Amitabh Bachchan unfollowing his daughter-in-law on social media.
Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai married in 2007, and their daughter, Aaradhya, was born in 2011.
