IGP orders weekly visit of mobile service van to WCCI

Punjab Inspector General of Police Inam Ghani has directed that a daylong visit of Police Mobile Service Center Van should be arranged on weekly basis to Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) to provide benefits of the fast-track service delivery to the women. “The WCCI members can avail hassle-free 14 modern policing facilities through mobile van centre.” YG Police Inam Ghani expressed the views during a meeting with a delegation of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Central Police Office here on Thursday. The delegation was led by WCCI President Rukhsana Zafar and comprised of Faiza Nabil, Zartashia Omar, Shazia Suleiman, Qaisara Sheikh and Tahira Naseem.
The IGP said that women belonging to the business community can also avail benefit of Punjab Police Employee Registration and Tenancy Registration Rules to avoid hassle and timely resolution of their problems. He further said that gender crimes were rampant in all the districts of the province for this, women help desks have been set up for the immediate redressal of the grievances where women can seek immediate relief from the police regarding their problems.
