The Federal Minister for Interior, Brig (R) Ijaz Ahmad Shah unveiled the plaque of renaming the previously called Kashmir highway as “Srinagar Highway”
The Federal Minister appreciated the efforts of District Administration for successfully organising the events in solidarity with Kashmir, he further added that we cannot win over Kashmir by mere slogans and statements, we need to work ahead in right direction and look for a credible solution. We need to self reflect and assess whether there is a way that we can win Kashmir over without firing a single bullet. The Minister added rhetorically.
“The purpose of saying this is to highlight the need of upgrading ourselves and look at India in the eye and put our stance out for the world” he further explained.
I salute all the Kahsmiris for their resilience and courage, its unimaginable that how they have survived a year of atrocities, rapes and murder. He then asked the audience to appreciate the courage of Kashmiris.
The issue of Kashmir is as old as this country’s existence, I salute the determination of Kashmiri people as a whole for their continued struggle and efforts.
Modi is fighting a lost battle, by changing the special status of Kashmir he has exposed his fascist beliefs and identity.
The Minister further added that every Pakistani will stand in solidarity with Kashmiri people till the very end and our entire political, religious and military leadership is united for this cause.
Prime Minister Imran Khan is working as ambassador of Kashmir and we are all together in this struggle, we will be the voice of Kashmir till they get their rights. The Minister concluded with the hope that Kashmir will see the dawn of independence very soon.
Federal Minister Fakhar Imam and Minister of State Ali Muhammad Khan also spoke at the occasion.
