LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued operation against illegal signboards and violation of parking rules in Lahore.

On Friday, joint teams of LDA and Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) sealed more than two dozen commercial buildings on Abdul Haq Road in Johar Town for violation of parking rules. The sealed businesses include Hush Puppies, Starlet Shoes, private bank, ice cream parlor, estate office, cloth shop, poultry shop and offices. Joint teams of LDA and TEPA carried out operation with the help of local law enforcers and heavy machinery.

Teams also removed illegal signboards from dental clinic, car shop, petrol pump, hotel, coffee shop, private bank and others. LDA officials said several notices were served to the owners of these buildings before carrying out the operation.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq directed continuing indiscriminate operations against encroachment, illegal signboards and violation of parking rules in Lahore.
