Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Tuesday said that holding only Imran Khan responsible for inflation in the country is unjust as several internal and external factors are responsible for economic crisis. Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, in a statement, said that prices of everything are being inflated by targeting agriculture sector and artificial inflation is hitting common man in the country.

Quoting example of tomato prices, the PML-Q leader said that farmers sell tomatoes for Rs25 per kg to the middleman who inflates the price to Rs150 per kg in the market. Under such circumstances, holding Imran Khan responsible for the losses incurred to the farmer is unjust, he added.

He further said that now a new storm of inflation is looming due to shortage of fertilizers in the country.—INP
