ISLAMABAD – Sahibzada Hamid Raza, the Chairman of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), reacted to the comments made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat regarding the merger.

Hamid Raza warned the leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against airing their internal conflicts publicly.

“I refrained from disclosing certain matters out of loyalty to PTI’s founder Imran Khan,” said the SIC chief in a tweet on X.

Sher Afzal Marwat had earlier suggested that forming an alliance with SIC was a mistake which resulted in the loss of 80 seats for the party due to incorrect decisions.

Hamid Raza expressed his discontent and advised the PTI to address its internal issues privately.

He reiterated that the decision to align with SIC was made by Imran Khan.

“I did not make any request,” said the SIC chief.

Sahibzada Raza hinted at possessing information regarding various matters including election symbols and reserved seats. He also suggested  that revealing these truths could embarrass many individuals.

He reaffirmed his allegiance to Imran Khan and clarified that he refrained from publicizing certain matters to avoid tarnishing Khan’s image for mere media attention.

Raza urged against sowing discord based on “external influences”,  and emphasized unity within SIC.
