Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo showed no signs of slowing down, scoring a brace in their respective matches to lead their teams to win in the Nations League fixtures.

Haaland scored twice against Sweden to lead Norway to a 2-1 win, extending his streak of scoring in consecutive matches to 7.

The striker put his team in the front in the 20th minute from the penalty spot, thundering a shot past Robin Olsen.

He added his second of the game in the 69th minute when a mistake by the Swedish defense allowed Haaland to run in behind and volley home to take his tally in international football to 18 goals in just 19 games.

Having already beaten Serbia, Norway now sits atop the League B Group 4.

Not to be outshone by the young phenom, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace of his own to remind Haaland of the tall task he still faces in catching up on goal-scoring stats.

His two goals helped Portugal sweep to an emphatic 4-0 victory over Switzerland in their UEFA Nations League clash at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon.

William Carvalho and Joao Cancelo were also on the scoresheet as the hosts wasted a myriad of opportunities to inflict more damage on the visitors, who suffered their biggest defeat since losing to Germany by the same scoreline in 2008.

Meanwhile, Spain were held to a 2-2 draw by the Czech Republic in their League A Group 2 fixture.

Jakub Pesek and Jan Kuchta scored one goal apiece for the Czechs while Gavi and Inigo Martinez scored for Spain to deny the visitors a first win over the La Roja.

Gavi’s strike made him the youngest goal scorer for Spain at 17 years and 304 days.
