Gujranwala Expressway is near to completion

Minister for Communication and Works Punjab Mr Sohaib alAhmed Bherth has said that the Gujranwala Expressway is near to completion by the end of this month as the Communication and Works Department with the help of Forest Department Punjab has been planting trees on the both sides of right of way of the expressway, making it the greenest road of the province.

He expressed these views while paying visit to Gujranwala Expressway to inspect its construction work. Mr. Sohaib Ahmad Bharth, Minister for Communication and Works, was accompanied by Minister for Specialised Health Punjab Kh. Suleman Rafique, Secretary C & W Mr. Sohail Ashraf and others officials.

Mr. Sohaib Ahmad Bharth said that this Expressway would reduce the travel time from Lahore to Gujranwala to only 45 minutes with a fast and smooth travel for the masses. He also disclosed that another portion of 74 km Expressway from Gujranwala to Kot Sakhi Sarwar is under progress and on the stage of Asphalt layer. “This Expressway will make travel fast and smooth and will link Gujranwala to Hafizabad and Lahore Islamabad Motorway” Mr. Bharth disclosed.
