The farmers in the Mandi Bahauddin district are facing a shortage of irrigation water. Tail-end farmers especially dependent on Chillianwala Rajbah are completely deprived of water. The irrigation departments never visit to check the availability of water to farmers.

Complaints about the non-availability of water are never taken notice of. Shortage of fertilizers is another problem coupled its black-marketing. At present, it is being sold at the rate of rupees twenty-five hundred a bag against its fixed rate of Rupees seventeen hundred sixty-eight.
