Govt not to increase Hajj, Umrah expenses this year

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri while assuring provision of best possible facilities to the intending Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, has clarified that the government will not increase expenses this year.

Addressing a ceremony in Peshawar on Sunday, he said the coronavirus pandemic which gripped entire world has also affected the holy rituals of Hajj and Umrah.

Noor-ul-Haq Qadri hoped that this year people will be allowed to perform Hajj and Umrah as the situation of coronavirus is now under control.

The Minister Religious Affairs said the government is in contact with the Saudi government on this matter. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Dr. Pir Muhammad Noor-ul-Haq Qadri on Sunday said protection of Islamic values was part of our faith and the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf would make Pakistan a model of Islamic state.—INP
