Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori visited the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, where he was warmly received by Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and embassy officials. The meeting focused on enhancing Pakistan-China relations, boosting Chinese investment in Sindh, and fostering mutual cooperation.
During the discussions, the two sides explored the establishment of Chinese factories in Sindh’s industrial zones, investment in the Karachi Circular Railway project, and the revival of Pakistan Steel Mills with Chinese assistance. They also deliberated on opportunities for collaboration in solid waste management, solar energy, and investment in Sindh’s coastal areas, emphasizing the role of Chinese technology in these sectors.
Additionally, they discussed increasing Chinese investment in the Pakistan Stock Exchange and advancing cargo shipping operations. Governor Tessori lauded China’s contribution to Sindh’s industrial and infrastructure development, stating that Chinese technology and investment play a pivotal role in strengthening the province’s economy. He expressed gratitude for the Chinese government and investors’ interest in Sindh’s development.
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong reiterated China’s prioritization of its relations with Pakistan. He highlighted Chinese investors’ keen interest in Sindh’s developmental projects and assured continued support to strengthen the ties between the two nations.
