Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori met with the newly appointed US Consul General, Scott Urbom, at Governor House to discuss enhancing bilateral relations, expanding trade, and promoting investment. The meeting covered various key areas, including diplomacy, economic cooperation, and investment opportunities.
Governor Tessori congratulated Consul General Urbom on his new assignment and expressed his good wishes. He emphasized the critical role the Consul General can play in increasing investment and trade in Sindh, noting that the province’s stable peace provides an ideal environment for foreign investors.
He further highlighted that the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is offering extensive support to investors, making it easier for foreign entities to operate in the region. Governor Tessori reiterated Pakistan’s desire to strengthen its trade and investment ties with the United States.
Consul General Urbom expressed his admiration for Sindh’s peaceful atmosphere and the sincerity of its people. He remarked that the US and Pakistan are natural allies and that the US is committed to seeing a prosperous Pakistan.
