LAHORE – Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider Khan held a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at Jati Umra on Thursday.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated newly appointed Governor of Punjab Sardar Salim Haider Khan on assuming office. They discussed the various matters pertaining to the province’s development.
The both leaders expressed their determination to collaborate for the betterment of Punjab, ensuring sustainable progress and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens.
Economic development, governance, education, healthcare facilities, security, and climate change were among the key topics discussed during the meeting, with a shared commitment to work towards the welfare of Punjab’s populace.
CM Maryam emphasized the importance of respecting all constitutional roles, ensuring law enforcement throughout the province, and leveraging the Governor’s position as a bridge between the provincial and federal authorities. She highlighted ongoing efforts to bolster the province-wide Income Support Program.
Furthermore, Maryam Nawaz highlighted initiatives in Punjab aimed at improving education, healthcare, road infrastructure, and information technology. She also mentioned the introduction of special social protection programs to ease the lives of marginalized communities.
Governor Punjab Sardar Salim Haider Khan assured that every effort would be made to provide relief to the people of the province. He stressed the government’s commitment to upholding the constitution and the rule of law, affirming complete cooperation with the Governor’s House for ensuring effective governance.
