Gold price came down in the global market on Monday and dropped below the psychological level of $1,800 mark due to strengthening US dollar.
At 1225 GMT, gold in the international market was available at $1,798.80 per ounce after shedding $14.40 as compared to its closing value on Friday last.Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of yellow metal in Pakistan remained flat at Rs92,900.
The price of gold remained flat in the country due the deprecia-tion in rupee’s value against the US dollar.
Pakistan rupee shed Rs1.54 in the interbank against the greenback in the day and the US dollar reached Rs161.48. —TLTP
