The Home Department Government of Sindh has informed that various entities (NPOs / NGOs, Companies, Civil Society etc) as well as individual (Philanthropists, general public) tend to carry out hides / skins collection campaign during the days of Eid-ul-Adha (particularly wef 10-12 Zhul-Hujj).

It is feared that various Proscribed Organizations in the garb of Charity, Madarsah, Masjid, Imambargah, etc may try to collect hides and skins of sacrificial animals to fund their unlawful activities.

It is highly important that the donors / charitable organizations and particularly individuals / general public shall be educated / make aware through print and electronic media that facilitating, or providing (hides / skins or money or property) to a Proscribed Organization is a punishable offense under section 11-F(5) & 11-F(6) and 11-H(3) of ATA (Anti-Terrorism Act)-1997 (as amended) and UNSC Act 1948.

Moreover, such outreach sessions through print and electronic media are also one of the Action Items under Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Action Plan implementation process.
