Freight train service from Karachi to Kot Radha Kishan on Monday has been inaugurated. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Minister for Railways Azam Khan Swati said that the freight train service will help ease the delivery of goods to other parts of the country.
He said that for the first time in history, the railways will be made a for-profit entity and Pakistan railways will be made a state of the art institution. Meanwhile, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi said that the development of Karachi will prosper the country as well as the province of Sindh.
He said that the Sindh government is not doing any development work for the prosperity of the province including Karachi. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said that the present government has formed a better team to improve all the deficit institutions and now these institutions are on the path of development.—INP
