A Hepatitis Screening, Awareness and Medical Camp was held at Government Girls High School, Pandora Choongi, Rawalpindi on August 13, 2024, The event was organized by students from Rawalpindi Medical University, HBS Medical College and Federal Medical and Dental College, under the Volunteer Force Against Hepatitis Transmission (VFAHT) and the Rawalian Community Awareness Program Society. It was supervised by Dr. Tayyab Saeed Akhtar and Dr. AsifMaqsood Butt.

During the camp, 300 individuals were screened for Hepatitis, educated about the disease and provided with medical assistance. Alarmingly, more than 40 of those screened tested positive for Hepatitis. A follow-up channel was established to ensure that positive cases received necessary counseling and guidance to protect their families from further spread.

Medical check-ups were provided by doctors from Holy Family Hospital. The event was supported by community workers Raja Latif and Raja Wajid, with space generously provided by the Headmistress of Government Girls High School. Special thanks to Chughtai Lab, Pharevo, and Shaigan Pharmaceutical for their crucial support. This camp is the first of many planned to eradicate Hepatitis and identify positive cases in the community.
