Peshawar
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday arrested four terrorists belonging to Al-Qaeda and Daesh during an operation in Khyber District.
The CTD’s operation against Al-Qaeda and Daesh in Khyber Agency has saved Peshawar from a terrorist incident as the arrested terrorists were plotting to launch a major terrorist strike in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa capital and its surrounding areas.
The CTD personnel also seized a huge quantity of weapons and ammunition from the terrorists. The arrests came a day after CTD personnel shot dead two terrorists in a gunbattle in Bannu.—INP
