District police Officer Hafizabad, Muhammad Masoom has said that all arrangements have been finalized to ensure provision of foolproof security to 36 mourner processions on Ashura Muharram, on Thursday.
While talking to media, on Wednesday, he said that more than 1200 Cops were deployed to provide foolproof security to participants of 36 mourner processions being taken out in the district today.
He said that 18 processions were being taken out in Tehsil Hafizabad while 12 processions were being taken out in Tehsil Pindi Bhattian.
He said that routes of processions were sealed with fence wire and diversions were provided for smooth flow of traffic while traffic police was issued traffic plan.
He said that CCTV Camera were installed on the routes of processions for monitoring purpose while all mourners will be allowed to join processions after passing through walkthrough gates and searching with metal detectors whereas drone cameras and CCTV cameras van would also be utilized to supervise the processions.
He further said that special teams of elite force would patrol on processions routes to combat any untoward incident.
He warned that disruptive elements and miscreants would be dealt with iron hands and organizers of the processions and licensees must be adhere to timetable and routes of the procession whereas no one would be allowed to violate timings and routes of the processions at all.
