Fog, smog likely in Sindh, Punjab

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country, while very cold in northern areas during the next twenty-four hours. Fog and smog is likely to occur in upper Sindh plain areas of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during morning and night hours.

Temperature of major cities recorded on Monday morning. Islamabad and Peshawar four degree centigrade, Lahore eight, Karachi seventeen, Quetta minus-one, Gilgit minus three, Murree zero and Muzafarabad three degree centigrade.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, very cold and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula, while cold and dry with fog in Jammu.

Srinagar one degree centigrade, Jammu seven, Leh minus nine, Pulwama zero, Anantnag minus-one, Shopian minus-two and Baramula two degree centigrade. On the other hand Provincial Meteorological Center Peshawar on Monday predicted that mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most districts of the province. It further said that moderate foggy conditions are expected over Charsadda.—INP
