FIA detects electricity, gas theft at PTI MNA’s factory

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) raided the factory of a PTI lawmaker in Pattoki and detected electricity and gas theft.

The FIA Lahore registered cases of electricity and gas theft after raiding the factory of PTI MNA Talib Hussain Nakai.

According to the FIA, the electricity and gas were being stolen for a long by installing a direct wire and a pipeline respectively in the factory in Kasur-Pattoki.

The FIA said the illegal supply of power and gas to the PTI lawmaker’s factor had caused a loss of millions to the exchequer.

The FIA unearthed a 150-foot pipeline illegally installed under the ground using a domestic meter and then it was laid to the factory.

The PTI lawmaker was also cashing in after installing direct wires to steal the electricity, the FIA said.—INP
