Eid Holidays in Pakistan: Ramadan 2024 is winding down to an end and anticipation starts building for Eidul Fitr 2024.

A notification was shared online, suggesting four holidays for government employees on occasion of Eid ul Fitr but the federal government warned people not to share the fake notification.

It said “In continuation of cabinet division’s circular, it is for general information that the prime minister is please to declare 9 April 2024 to 12th April 2024 (Tuesday to Friday) as public holiday for Eid ul Fitr.”

Interior Ministry spokesperson clarified that viral notification is fake, and requested people not to share it in groups.

The federal government has not announced Eidul Fitr holidays so far and the official notification will be issued after a cabinet meeting.

Expected Eid Holidays in Pakistan

Employees in Pakistan are expecting prolonged Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. Ramadan is expected to last 29 days, with the first official holiday falling on Tuesday, April 9th.

Sources claimed that holidays are expected to be from April 9th-12th, and with the coming weekend, it will be a six-day break.

Additionally, since Saturday, April 6th, comes before Eid, many government employees are likely to take leave, potentially extending their break to nine days with just one or two additional days off.
