This year, the passing rate for Class 9 was around 58%. Zubeida Nasim was topper of Part 2 Science group, with 1,087 marks. She was followed by Hajab Fatima who got 1,085 marks. Masood Shabbaz and Fatima Wajid shared the third position, each scoring 1,084 marks.
As per FBISE Gazette, around 250,000 students appeared in the exam, 174,000 passed the result, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 69.75pc.
Over 250 cases of cheating were identified, which led to the registration of over 60 first information reports (FIRs).
On the other hand, Rawalpindi Education Board declared annual matriculation examination results. Board officials said 119,265 candidates appeared, with 87,639 passing and 31,626 failing, leading to an overall pass rate of 73.49%.
Female students outperformed their male counterparts in both securing top positions and overall pass rates. Giels secured top passing rate of 80.5pc compared to 66.3% for males. Additionally, 698 students were absent.
