LAHORE—The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sealed 44 buildings during operations against illegal commercial use in Lahore.
LDA sealed 24 buildings in Sabzazar and another 20 in Faisal Town and Gulberg for not paying commercialization fees.
The sealed premises include Faysal Bank, Dar-e-Arqam, Pips School, The Trust School, private banks, food outlets, grocery shops and other businesses.
Chief Town Planner-I Assad-uz-Zaman supervised the operations which were carried out by the enforcement teams with the help of the Police.
According to the LDA officials, several notices were served to the owners of these buildings before the operations were carried out.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violations of building and parking bylaws, encroachments, and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
