The gap between the official rate and open market rate was Rs30 against dallar. “This dollarization of economy means no local or foreign investment into the country, which will result into contraction of the GDP and worse, lead to hyperinflation,” he added.

PTI Chairman stated that the PDM leaders have billions of dollars stashed abroad, and understandably they are not pushed. “The question is, how on earth the Pakistani establishment is allowing the country to head towards a complete economic meltdown,” he asked. On the other hand Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Hammad Azhar said that the country’s economic situation was quite alarming, as the county was heading fast to the point of no return due to the imported government flawed and wrong economic policies.

In a statement on Monday, Hammad Azhar said that Pakistan’s economic woes was increasing manifolds and at present the situation was really frightening, as dollar was trading at Rs. 316 at open market. PTI leader stated that Pakistan had never seen such a crisis in its economic history. He recalled that such economic crises occurred in Argentina, Venezuela.
