The Department of Excise and Taxation, Narcotics Control Punjab, claimed on Thursday to have conducted a major operation in Lahore and arrested a notorious drug dealer Yasir Masih. The department further said that the raiding team also recovered a heavy quantity of toxic liquor worth thousands of rupees was recovered from his possession.
The spokesman for the department said that his department was working as per the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi to make the Province drug-free. According to the details, the excise team on the special instructions of DG Excise and Taxation and ETO Excise.
Inspector Syed Qamarul Hasan Zaidi was informed that Yasir Masih, a criminal who supplies fake liquor to other districts including Lahore, is present on Ferozepur Road and a strategy is being prepared to deliver the poisoned liquor to a specific location. Excise Inspectors raiding team said that the accused was doing this heinous business for a long time. The officers claimed that they have handed over the accused to the Naseerabad police station for further investigation. During the arrest, the accused tried to put resistance to but the raiding team made failed.
