LAHORE – Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IGP Nasir Durrani died on Monday due to Covid-19 in Lahore.

Durrani was on ventilator at the Mayo Hospital in Punjab capital for a week after his health condition deteriorated due to Covid-19 infection.

“Saddened to learn of the passing of former IG Police Nasir Durrani. My condolences and prayers go to his family. He was instrumental in reforming KP police when he was the IG. Pakistan has lost an outstanding police officer,” the premier wrote in a tweet.
