Miftah lauds contribution of PDA
Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Miftah Ismail appreciated the contributions of Pakistan Dairy Association (PDA) and affirmed full support and facilitation.
He pledged this while chairing a meeting with Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Dairy Association Dr. Shahzad Amin.
Miftah also directed the relevant authorities for resolution of their issues.
The minister was apprised about the contribution of Pakistan Dairy Association in the economic growth of the country.
It was also shared that recently due to lumpy skin disease in animals and floods there were animals’ casualties impacting overall production of milk and meat.
Similarly, various other issues being faced by Pakistan Dairy Association were also discussed.
In another meeting, Miftah Ismail directed the relevant authorities to take appropriate measures for resolving issues being faced by exporters especially related to exports and tax refunds.
Meeting was held with delegation of Pakistan Textile Exporters Association (PTEA) led by its Patron in Chief Khurram Mukhtar.
Minister of State for Finance and Revenue Dr. Aisha Ghous Pasha, Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Masood Malik, Muhammad Asim Nazir MNA, Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Coordinator to PM on economy Bilal Azhar Kiyani also attended the meeting.
Chairman PTEA Sohail Pasha, Secretary General PTEA Azizullah Goheer and other senior officers from Finance division also attended the meeting.
The meeting apprised the Finance Minister about the contribution of export textile sector in overall sustainable economic growth of the country.
They also discussed about the various issues being faced by exporters especially related to exports and tax refunds.
Finance Minister assured that government wants to enhance the overall exports of the country and every possible support will be provided in this regard.
The minister directed the relevant authorities to take the appropriate steps for resolving these issues.
