Punjab Minister for Industries and Production Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that the provincial government is taking every step to safeguard the lives of the people.
He was talking to a delegation of oxygen suppliers which called on him at Civil Secretariat on Wednesday and discussed various matters relating to the supply of oxygen in the wake of the corona pandemic.
The delegation assured of their full cooperation adding that there is no shortage of oxygen at the moment and proposed its import as the corona situation is tense.
Mian Aslam Iqbal asked the companies to send their recommendations.
He assured that they will be provided with every possible facility to increase the production capacity.
God forbids, supply of oxygen to the processing industry could be suspended due to an increase in oxygen demand provided corona is further spread, he said.
The delegation proposed to increase the capacity of gas stocks in teaching hospitals and also apprised the minister of their problems. Director General Industries and health officers were also present during the meeting.
