District administration has established an emergency control room and canceled the holidays of government employees and issued a red alert in the district due to the risk of possible flooding in water canals in Mardan district, a statement issued by deputy commissioner Habibullah Arif said.

It was stated in the statement that according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) updates, the flood forecasting division has predicted a high level of flood in the Swat river in Khwazakhela and its connected rivers.
